Reunion Set For June 27-28, 2008 in Salt Lake City

The 2008 Taiwan Overseas LDS Member-Missionary Reunion will be held in Salt Lake City on Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28, 2008.

Who are we?

The Taiwan Overseas LDS Member-Missionary Reunion Committee consists of Chinese members and returned missionaries of all nationalities (and their spouses) who had connections to Taiwan from the years 1956-1986.

What is our mission statement?

Gather Chinese members and returned missionaries of all nationalities who were involved in sharing and accepting the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ in Taiwan during the years 1956 to 1986, to renew our friendships, strengthen our connections, deepen our testimonies, and record our shared pioneering conversion experiences.

Connect with less active overseas Chinese members and former missionaries and invite their participation in our loving friendship.

For Chinese members: Help us unite our children and develop their understanding and appreciation for Chinese culture. Encourage correspondence among our posterity so they can strengthen and encourage each other.

For former missionaries: Help us rediscover and strengthen the language and cultural skills nurtured as young missionaries to prepare us to serve our Heavenly Father in any way He needs us.

What is the theme of the 2008 reunion?

Taiwan Mormon Pioneers: Keeping Our Legacy Alive

One of the main activities of the reunion will be the creation of Memory Books to document for posterity the conversion stories and gospel experiences of this pioneering group of members and missionaries. You may enter your Memory Book information directly onto the www.TaiwanReunion.com website by joining the TaiwanReunion community. Alternatively, you may download the Memory Book forms from http://www.TaiwanReunion.com/Content.aspx?pid=MemoryBookForms-EN" and mail them to us.
